The entire family has fun at Ridgewood Pool

All active members of Ridgewood Pool are entitled to use the pool during all open swim hours and adult lap swim times, to attend social events, and to bring guests using passes or paying the guest fees.

Swim, Dive and Water Ballet Lessons are available at no extra cost to families purchasing a Family Plus or Summer Non-Stock Membership and are offered to children 3 years of age and older. Lessons are one-half hour long, between 10 am and noon, and offered in 3 sessions this year. Evening swim lessons are also available on a limited basis. The American Red Cross format is followed; testing requirements for each level are posted. Sign up for Session 1 lessons takes place at the pool on Saturday, May 30.

Babysitter Memberships are not required; members who have paid dues in full may send their children to the pool in the care of a sitter of responsible age. Sitters must be dressed appropriately to enter the water and must provide active supervision of children in their care. Sitters are not considered members and may not use the pool when not supervising children of a member family.

Guest Passes are distributed to all active members; each pass allows a member to host four visits at no cost. Additional guests are welcome for the following fees:
Individuals - $4 weekdays/$5 weekends
Families - $7 weekdays/$10 weekends
An individual may be a guest of any member a cumulative maximum of 4 times (Teen Night participation does not count towards this maximum).

Adult Lap Swim is available early morning and evenings. In addition, two lanes are available during all open swim times. Adult Water Exercise classes will be offered several times per week, daytime and evening, according to demand.

Special Events are scheduled throughout the season. These include the June Ice Cream Social for all pool members, the July Pool Carnival for young members, the July Adult Night, weekly Teen Nights most Wednesdays and Sunday Brunch most Sunday mornings. Please see the calendar for details on dates and times, and indicate your interest in helping out on the enclosed Volunteer Form. Please note that some social events do require an admission fee.

Important Registration Information

Ridgewood Pool is currently accepting all new memebers! Members and their families will not be permitted to use the facilities or participate in lessons or teams if payment has not been remitted. In the past, pool staff has been very lenient with this policy. But to be fair to all our members, you and your children will not be admitted until full payment is made.

You will notice TWO RATES listed for many membership categories. The first, higher number is the full fee. The second is the discounted rate for paying with cash or check. Please be careful to total your membership fees based upon what payment method you would like to use.

If you were a Summer Non-Stock member last year you must purchase stock in order to join this summer. In an effort to help with that expense, we are discounting your membership fees by $200 for this summer.

All payments are nonrefundable. There will be a charge of $25.00 for checks returned for insufficient funds.

We are required to keep emergency medical information on file at the pool for any children under 18. Please be sure you include this with the Membership Registration Form, or children will not be permitted to use the facilities. Please abide by the sign-in policy and guest fee rules when bringing friends to enjoy our pool — abuse of these privileges hurts all our members. Guest passes will be issued after membership dues are received.

If you started the installment plan for Ridgewood stock purchase in the last two years (2007 or 2008) another payment of $210/$200* is due with your membership dues for the summer season. (* - lower rate includes discount for cash or check payment)

Family Plus/Team Membership $615/$595* plus
$130/$125*/child, $310/$300* family max
Includes Family Plus Membership and swim/dive team participation. Additional team membership fee partially covers costs for coaches’ salaries, meet fees, T-shirts, and special swim team events. Please fill out separate team registration form and add appropriate amount to dues total.

Family Rec Membership $545/$525*
For families with children who do not wish to participate in lessons, water ballet or competitive teams; includes all open swim times, water exercise and social events.

Couple Membership $340/$325*
For adult couples (over 18 years of age) who wish to make use of the pool during open swim times, water exercise, lap swim and all social events.

Individual Membership $260/$250*
Available to individuals aged 18 years and older, includes open swim, lap swim, exercise classes and social events.

Stock Purchase $550
One-time fee to purchase stock, separate from yearly membership dues. If you had a summer-only membership in any previous year, you must purchase stock for membership this season. Stock may be sold back to the pool or transferred to a new member, according to demand. Stock purchase may be made in 3 installments – see enclosed information.

Summer Non-Stock Membership $395/$380* Available only to new registrations; allows families to participate as Family Plus members for one summer season only – come and give Ridgewood a try! (Note: Includes Swim & Dive Team fees!)
