Please take a moment to review our Registration Policies prior to Renewing/Joining
April 1, 2021
Returning member registration opens at 9am!
Thursday, April 15, 2021
New Member Registration opens at 9:00am.
500 Member Limit
Registration will remain open until we reach our 500-member limit. Once we hit our maximum capacity, we will not be able to accept additional members for the season (including any stockholders or past members who have not yet signed up). Please be aware that waiting to renew your membership may jeopardize your ability to be active members this season, regardless of your stockholder status. We reached capacity in both 2016 and 2017.
Lessons
We are planning to offer all lessons as usual, as long as we are not (or do not become) prohibited to do so by Public Health Madison & Dane County or other local orders. See our Lessons page for more details.
Water Ballet Show
We have not yet determined if we will be able to have a Water Ballet SHOW in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will post updates as they become available. However, we still plan on offering water ballet LESSONS unless local orders would prohibit them.
Lesson Sign-up Registry
Members will be assigned their position for lesson sign-up based on the order in which their registration (including payment) is completed. You will be notified of a time frame in which to register your child for swim, dive and water ballet lessons; the sooner you complete your registration, the earlier your time frame will be! This policy will continue to be in place for the 2021 Season.
Swim & Dive Team
Ridgewood WILL offer Swim and Dive Team this summer, at the very least holding practices in some format. We will wait to determine exactly how and when practices will run until we get closer to opening, in the hopes that we will be permitted by Public Health Madison and Dane County to hold larger age-group practices as usual. However, the All-City League has not yet determined if it will hold any meets. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
Ridgewood Stock & Installment Plan
There is a one-time fee to purchase stock, separate from yearly membership dues. If you have already tried our Special Non-Stock Summer Membership and wish to have a family membership, you must purchase stock. Stock purchase is optional for Adult-Only Memberships. Payment can be made in full, or with our Stock Installment Plan of three consecutive, nonrefundable payments of $200 over three years. You can purchase stock and choose either payment option when you register for your membership. Private stock transfers are accepted and arranged privately between you and the seller. Learn more about stock.
Member Service Requirement
Below is our Member Service Requirement Policy for a typical year. Requirements may be modified in the event that we need to make adjustments to our typical year.
Each member family is asked to fulfill one shift (approximately 2 hours) minimum of volunteer time for Ridgewood Pool. This shift could include, but is not limited to, Pool Clean-Up days, Pool Carnival, Ice Cream Social, Sunday Brunch contributions, etc. These volunteer opportunities will be available for sign-up online via a Volunteer Spot link from the Ridgewood Pool website. Please be aware that these shifts are tracked, and your family will be assessed a $75 fee if you are unable to fulfill the season's service requirement. If an activity is not listed on Volunteer Spot, it is not tracked and will not fulfill your family's requirement, unless you contact the Volunteer Coordinator or a Ridgewood Pool Board member prior to the activity. If you have any questions whether an activity or donation will satisfy your service requirement, please contact a Board member. (Board member emails are available on the website.)
Additionally, if your child participates in Swim or Dive Team, your family will be required to volunteer at meets for those groups as well. Swim/Dive service shifts do not fulfill your General Membership requirement, and General Membership service does not fulfill the Swim/Dive requirement. Swim Team asks three shifts per family over the season, or a payment of $150; this fee is pro-rated if you complete one or two shifts. Dive team requires one shift per season. With the large number of participants on our Swim and Dive Teams, there is no way to run a meet without everyone's help. Ridgewood Pool runs some fun, efficient, and exiting meets -- and we appreciate our fantastic families! We couldn't do it without you! If you are unable to fulfill your volunteer service requirements, you will be assessed a $75 fee for general service requirements, and/or a $150 fee for Swim Team service requirements. The fees for not completing these requirements are invoiced after the season is completed, and must be paid prior to the next season's registration. If you have questions or concerns, please contact a Ridgewood Pool Board member. Our intent is not to be punitive, but to control costs and keep Ridgewood Pool a wonderful place to be. Please pitch in -- there are plenty of opportunities, and it's a great way to meet new friends and reconnect with old ones.
